Overview
An intelligent, yet cold library worker who values efficiency and succinctness over everything. He has no patience for matters that waste time… except if he feels that they require correction or explanation.
He seems determined to fulfill his goals by himself, but why does it feel like he’s keeping an eye on you?

Trivia
- According to in-game popularity polls, Adam is projected to place highest in the 200th season. Despite his vocal aversion to The Program, he demonstrates a considerable knowledge of the competition, even predicting patterns in advance.
- Numerically, Adam is character 01 - placing him before all other characters; even Oojin, the protagonist. His character initials (AD) also places him as the first character, alphabetically.
- Adam notes that, due to his first and last name, he was accustomed to being placed near the front of the room during his school days. This only further assisted him in his scholarly prowess.
- Even though he claims to have fully distanced himself from his youth, Adam still keeps copies of educational VHS tapes that kept him company as a child.
- Talking to him usually results in very concise dialogue, as if he wants to speak as efficiently as possible. However, he can be a very talkative person once involved in a conversation.
- His inner narration, provided by his Specter, is much wordier than the average character. It can go on for paragraphs at a time.
- His ‘sighs’ and ever-present frown may be both an expression of exhaustion and a consequence of his efforts to not speak as much as he wants.
- Early concepts show that Adam's Color Code was originally meant to be Aqua, explaining the lighter, brighter shade of blue associated with him. However, it was later changed to Azure, the complementary color of Orange.
- Romance is considered not only unnecessary but also a hindrance, and he will express disgust at open displays of affection.
- Unsurprisingly, this does not stop him from giving stern romantic advice to his younger siblings.
- Nothing makes Adam laugh - a claim that Adam seems to stake his personal pride on, as if he is above such a reaction.
- He does have a sense of humor, though it is deadpanned and incredibly sarcastic.
- Oojin takes this as a challenge and acts particularly goofy around him specifically, though it mostly succeeds in making herself laugh. This isn’t helped by the fact that, though unintentionally, Adam is an incredible straight man to Oojin’s jokes.
- Adam will cover his mouth or conceal his face every so often. Oojin will notice this and assume he’s trying to hide an expression he doesn’t want others to see, breaking the illusion of his cold and proud personality.
- Libraries are the most comforting location to him, due to the unlimited access to books and resources, as well as the privacy given in an otherwise public space. He grew up using them as a refuge, and after volunteering in them during his school years, he would naturally be drawn to them as a profession.
- Reversing and pausing time are, according to Adam, the only useful applications of his Value.
- He once tried to turn time 'forward' during an easy test in school in order to skip it. He successfully woke up a few hours later, but his body had been completely frozen during the process, causing concern from his teacher and classmates. He noted with annoyance that, since one is concentrating on using their Value, their body would not 'complete the test' for him without his active input. He has yet to find any benefit to using his Value this way.
- Exploring his Schemer account shows that he primarily follows educational accounts.
- His account details show that he had majored in Philosophy, with a minor in English.
- Those with a matured CLOCK Value are, as the name suggests, more likely to be people who grew up surrounded by clocks and other time-keeping tools. This part of Adam’s background pertains to his father, who is a professional clockmaker.
- Unfortunately, his troubled relationship with his parents has caused strain on his relationship with his younger brother, Ciel, who was the only Akil sibling to remain somewhat loyal to them.
- His younger sister and Ciel’s twin, Skylar, notes that Adam’s departure from their household caused Ciel to resent Adam more than their parents; thus, creating the rift. She herself has become the intermediary between the brothers, to her displeasure.
- Rather than allowing himself emotional honesty like a normal person, Adam will usually express something slightly vulnerable and quickly follow it up with a statement of derision or disgust, as if not permitting himself to let his guard down.
- Narratively, Adam has the potential to ‘undo’ the actions of the player due to his ability to travel backwards in time. However, this is likely overridden by the player, as no matter how available the ‘back’ button is on the website, only the player controls where the story goes.
