Overview
A perpetually tired and bored scholar who cares only about what he finds intellectually stimulating. This includes both the scientific and the spiritual - like his dual interest in astronomy and astrology.
He doesn’t seem particularly focused on winning The Program, so what (or who) could he be looking for?

Trivia
- The newest conceptual addition to the main cast, Galo is an odd man out among the 17 total characters due to being the only one to have a purely monochromatic Color Code.
- His sister, Sally Lee, was the semifinalist of the 199th season who infamously disappeared before she could compete against the now reigning champion, Grace Nejem. He staunchly believes that The Program itself was responsible for this, naming Grace as the mastermind.
- His public interactions with Grace during the 200th season are somewhat limited, as Grace often shuts down such discussion in front of others.
- He claims to have applied for The Program in order to see for himself what Sally had experienced.
- Even though Galo has lived in the city his whole life, he wants to live in the countryside one day. Since there is less light pollution there, it would allow him a better view of the night sky.
- Athough the science behind Chromascopes is subjective, Galo is somewhat reliant on judging people through them. He is content to have surface-level assumptions because, according to him, he can justify inconsistencies and contradictions through Chromascopes’ inherent vagueness.
- He is uniquely validated when interacting with fellow competitors of the Class of 200, who all embody different Chromascopes to a T.
- A more complex layer of Chromascopes involves colors aligned with one even beyond their Color Code. For example, someone could be Primary Red, Secondary Blue, and Tertiary Yellow. He will employ terminology referencing this often, to the confusion of the layman.
- Poor health has been an issue ever since he was young. He takes antibiotics, supplements, and pain medication every day, complaining that he inherited a particularly painful disease.
- Oojin Kim, who shares his laziness streak, notes that Galo doesn’t seem to suffer from sleep deprivation and lack of motivation like she does. He has a fairly organized schedule and is usually busy working on his studies. He only demonstrates inertia when he feels that he’s involved in something unnecessary… which is usually anything outside of his room.
- When he is forced to do something, he seems focused on doing it with as little time and effort as possible.
- Kicking the bad habit of smoking is a years-long personal project he’s had. When he doesn’t have a cigarette with him, he’ll usually be fiddling with something - like a pen or pencil - to curb the impulse.
- Albert II, his Macasmos, is a relatively young Specter and had only previously bonded with one other human, who named it Albert. Galo opted to keep this personal name and included the numerical suffix in the name to distinguish its current identity. He hopes that when he passes and his Specter re-bonds with someone else, the tradition will continue with Albert III and so on.
- Leealis Enterprises is an aerospace manufacturing company founded by Galo’s parents. Galo’s first job was as an intern for the company, though he would later leave due feeling uncomfortable with nepotism.
- Unlike colors with hues, monochromatic colors as one’s Chroma are difficult to attain. Galo notes that his earliest Color Codes had more color to them, but over time he felt more aligned to the neutral Gray.
- Pleading total surrender rather than acting on the offense/defense is Galo’s general combat strategy. He can engage in a meaningful argument for hours, but once the confrontation becomes physical, he has no qualms about giving up.
- Though he has decent fighting skills, he holds no particular pride in combat and lacks the dignity to prevent him from admitting defeat.
- The maturation of a Value does not guarantee its permanence. Even after a Value matures, it can enter a void state due to lack of practice, motivation, or ability. This is dependent on both physical and mental health, and it is common for those who experience extreme trauma. Galo notes that he had a Value in the past, but it has been in the void state for nearly a year.
- It was apparently very similar to his sister’s.
- Earth is the least interesting planet to Galo, who prefers Saturn and its majestic rings. It was also the first planet he saw with a telescope.
- In contrast to the majority of his peers, Galo is quite friendly towards competitor Corona Karasu. He is the only one to visibly enjoy spending time with them and will even defend them at times. However, he acknowledges that they are weird as hell and doubts the true intellectual value of their scientific prospects.
- Not actively suicidal yet deeply apathetic to his own mortality, Galo believes that he is doomed for punishment no matter his actions. He describes his life as something that has always been out of his control and at the whims of others, as well as the universe itself.
