Khthosmenon
The Cosmic Specter. Very few have glimpsed this ancient, eldritch Specter in the distant night sky. Its appearance is monstrous and unknowable, and its deafening, lunatic cry deafens distorts reality itself. Bonding with the Kthosmenon is a fool’s errand; one must either tame the abyss or submit to it.

Overview
A gloomy, caustic rock musician who makes up for their stilted speech with the loudest, heaviest metal music imaginable. The drummer of the Rockett duo, Stella seems to enjoy the sheer chaos of the genre rather than making a point like her sister.
It definitely drowns out whatever is causing her to twitch like that…

Trivia
- The wheelchair Stella uses was specially designed for her. It has specific pockets to hold her drumsticks, as well as a built-in smoke machine. It can also do sick wheelies, to the frenzied delight of their audience.
- Heavy metal distinguishes Stella’s musical leanings from her sister Susie, a fan of pure punk rock, and their mother Joan, who prefers the broader genre of rock.
- When she isn’t performing, she likes listening to the loudest, most distorted music through thick headphones. Susie has long accepted this habit as stels getting serenity in her own weird way.
- Even though she performs her heart out on stage, Stella is a deeply asocial person. She doesn’t often speak; when she does, her words are usually uncouth and unprompted, as if purposefully trying to disconcert the other party. As a result, though there is no unofficial ‘leader’ of the Rockett duo, Susie generally takes the reins when it comes to representing the band.
- Khthosmenon’s true form has only been seen by Stella herself. The rare times it has been summoned was in its camouflaged ‘civilian’ form, which resembles an odd-looking raccoon.
- These ‘civilian’ forms are unique to mythical Specters who bond with humans. Their natural forms are usually very large, intricate, and somewhat frightening to the layman. So, they reduce their energy and adapt a more innocent-looking form so they can acclimate to human society.
- A fan of the occult, Stella usually engages in strange and obscure mystery/horror/fantasy media in her down time. Her favorite stories feature unknowable cosmic entities - kind of like her Specter.
- Their hands tend to spasm erratically, to the point where writing is quite difficult. The Rocketts have chalked this up to a motor tic. One of the few ways Stella can fight through it is with drumming. Focusing on a steady rhythm - as well as loud music in general - overpowers the urge.
- She is usually seen playing with a drumstick, even when she doesn’t have a drum kit in front of her. It supposedly helps lessen the muscle spasms.
- Health-wise, Stella appears to have undergone severe mental and physical trauma. They supposedly had a near-death experience at one point, causing significant damage throughout their body (particularly their legs). However, rather than fearing pain and death, they seem resigned to and even indulgent with it.
- Susie tends to dismiss such a morbid attitude as a sign of a hardcore personality. Nevertheless, she does her best not to leave her sister’s side in public.
- Although flashing lights are a staple of live shows, Stella is the only Rockett who seems discomforted by them. They can be seen closing their eyes during concerts, both to concentrate and to block out their vision.
- Interviews and red-carpet-esque events always end poorly. If Susie hasn’t cussed enough to get a network in trouble, Stella has probably attacked a cameraman or two. Therefore, their typical ‘press events’ are curated just for them - casual, fun, and accommodating their nature rather than stifling them.
- Responding in full sentences seems like a chore most of the time. When they do speak, their voice is low and raspy, sometimes so quiet that only a few words can be heard. Since this can lead to miscommunication, she is prone to giving up speaking altogether, leading to long periods of silence.
- The Rockett Sisters’ microphone settings are opposite to each other, since Stella tends to mumble while Susie defaults to yelling.
- Susie insists that Stella is actually quite talkative in private (or at the very least, more expressive).
- Electrical burn scars can be seen hidden underneath her bangs, as well as on her hands. Fans have speculated that these are physical proof of what originally caused Stella’s twitches and spasms.
- Since the kick drum is essential for her drum kit, its pedal was modified for usage without the lower body. Rather than pressing down with her foot, the pedal is attached to a contraption on her seat. All she has to do is lean in, and her weight will take care of the sound.
- Unlike other characters with prosthetics, Stella has no interest in replacing the functionality of her legs. Or undergoing any surgical procedures, in general.
- Ever the socially aloof star, Stella is better at staying composed in the face of conflict and stress. Nothing on stage or on the road seems to shake her - even when volatile fans rush them. So, as much as she relies on her sister for formalities, she acts as the emotional anchor of the two.
- Stella’s calm can break, however. Certain triggers will cause her to convulse and twitch, as if she was suddenly overcome with a head-splitting pain. It may have to do with her memory.
- In the early days of her band career, she was completely anonymous. Fans of Susie saw her as a background role, cobbled together to fill in the space left by regular collaborators. Stella herself barely seemed cognizant of the audience, as if all she could focus on was her instrument and her music.
- Stella is credited as the designer of their albums. Eagle-eyed fans have noted that the way she holds her drumsticks resembles that of an artist’s grip.
