Trivia
- The opera stage isn’t the only place where Rosalyn makes herself known. She also has strong connections in the beauty industry, and all kinds of companies scramble to have her wear their products.
- Cosmetics and modeling come naturally, but she has no interest in pursuing them professionally. Beauty’s marketability is less important than its utility to swoon those right in front of her.
- She tried pushing her younger brother, Oswald, to the industry, with herself acting as an agent of sorts. Even after he officially ‘retired’, she still touts him as someone with great potential.
- Her romantic history is perhaps the most documented part about her. She’s purportedly dated hundreds of celebrities, artists, and notable figures - none of them lasting forever, of course. People have accused her of breaking hearts maliciously, but Rosalyn claims that she’ll settle when she finds the right one.
- Nevertheless, she remains amenable with her ex’s. They make up many of her acquaintances.
- Even though classical opera is her genre of choice, Rosalyn likes a lot of psychedelic, eccentric pop music as well. The more abstract and experimental the art, the more she’ll appreciate it.
- Her family lived close to the sea back in Albania. Her first taste of America was on a family vacation, when they would visit Peach Beach - the country’s most resplendent shoreline. The Beach’s reputation as a honeymoon destination was particularly attractive. Not to mention all the good-looking people it drew in.
- Early in her opera career, Rosalyn was type-casted to play pretty faces with little substance. But the more she performed, the more she showcased her dramatic skills. Her breakthrough role was as Célestine - a fiery, carmine-clad seductress who finds herself in the center of a tragic romantic rivalry. She describes her ‘death’ on stage as a highlight, as there was not a dry eye in the theater.
- Her embrace of her current and longest-running Color Code was heavily influenced by this role.
- Now, she’s known to play a wide range of characters - most notably femme fatales.
- All kinds of floral Specter, including Fleurish, can be seen at the Anthemusa gardens. Her bonding with one would influence her younger brother to also seek out a Specter there.
- Her Fleurish is fondly called Rosita. Contrary to popular belief, this is not a result of ego, as Rosalyn herself withdrew any influence on what her Specter named itself.
- Rosalyn prefers classical theater over other artistic mediums, as it allows for both her singing and dance talents to shine. Along with her voice, she is adept at ballet, ballroom, and tap routines.
- Diana Morozov, Goldopolis starlet and West Coast bombshell, is a beloved friend who convinced her to appear in some film productions. Their bond helped her enjoy the experience, as the operetta dislikes the suffocating nature of a film set. The beauties’ collaborations also drew contrast between Diana’s sharp, sophisticated prestige and Rosalyn’s smooth, provocative magnetism.
- The most well-known ballet in Rosalyn’s theater features a beautiful maiden cursed to sleep for eternity. Rosalyn herself would not only act in the main role but also come up with the writing and production as a whole, demonstrating a never-before-seen skill for art direction. Though the tale lacks a happy ending, she hopes to one day find what will wake up the protagonist from her tranquilizing, ever-lasting dream.
- Sleepwear as Rosalyn’s style occurred on accident. In reality, she’s never had a good grasp of her sleep schedule; she naps sporadically throughout the day, not bothering to change out of her ‘outside’ clothes. As a result, she began wearing more and more comfortable clothes to make the transition to bed easier.
- She even alternates between sunglasses and sleeping masks. And she pulls it off effortlessly.
- During the 180th season of the Program, Rosalyn made it to the finale by playing up her performance skills. By appeasing the Trial Captains, her peers, and even the audience, she remained in a safe, passive role while others did the work for her. She admits that such strategy was suffocating and dull, in retrospect.
- Each public anecdote about her upbringing indicates that her parents were loving but busy and distant. Her day-to-day guardians were housekeepers, her foundation for beauty, performance, and human connection.
- By the time her younger brother was born, she was old enough (around her early 20’s) to raise him in their parents’ absence, using what she learned from her ‘aunties’.
- She is remarkably gifted at learning even the most advanced routines. Her co-stars have noted how she’ll learn her lines and steps, practice them, and then perform them without error in a matter of hours.
- In the large garden surrounding the Anthemusa manor, the signs warn visitors about touching the roses. Though highly prized, their sharp thorns have drawn blood before.
- ROUSE is a subclass of HEART (Emotion Control) that hones in on interpersonal attraction. While Oswald is focused on the hypothetical ‘best match’ - with AMORE (Super Suggestion) helping him nudge people the right way - Rosalyn sees what is felt within and between hearts. Preferences, crushes, and even fantasies don’t get past her. She seems to enjoy the rush of power she gets from laying them bare.
- Easily spurned by rejection, Rosalyn despises when she is purposefully excluded from events. She has a habit of crashing them in retaliation, demanding her presence to be valued.
