Vincent Labelle

A highly sensitive empath who uses creative writing as an outlet for rather sentimental prose. He enjoys discussing classical art and is particularly fixated on the ‘beauty’ that exists in the world.

His big heart can also be shown through his fumbles into the romantic, which can be really hard to watch at times.

• According to Phoebe Sakuragi, the inside of Vincent's head is a hurricane of thoughts that she struggles to understand. The few things she consistently manages to make out are his fixation on others and himself.
  • Conversely, Vincent has described Phoebe’s heart as uniquely radiant and magnetic, as she feels things truly and deeply.
• Love letters being Vincent's primary form of romantic expression has allowed him to become acquainted with Tian Zhou, a similar bleeding heart who has worked with mail delivery. They’ve apparently given each other writing advice since their academy years.
• Occult matters seem to be a mixed bag to Vincent, as he prefers exploring the darkness of reality rather than the mystical. He says that he doesn't know why people would want to believe in the supernatural, since reality is already too much…
• Violet is a relatively new Color Code for Vincent, as he spent many of his adolescent years wavering between varying shades of indigo/purple, as well as shades of black.
• Even in text messages, Vincent is prone to miss-spelling words when he is flustered - a parallel to his mispronunciations in high stress.
  • Oojin comments on these by calling them 'misspellings' even when referring to in-person dialogue.
  • It is unknown how his manner of correcting these mistakeasa (*mistakes) is verbalized.
• Reading and writing are his favorite past-times, though he also enjoys sketching. His personal journal is 80% text, 20% doodles as a secondary form of expression. His style is almost painter-esque and often features repeating patterns and swirls.
• Not much is known about the specifics of Vincent's upbringing, as he prefers not to talk about his family and home life. All that is known is his father, Laurence Labelle, and the strained relationship between the two of them.
  • Vincent notes that his father disapproves of his writing, which is why he’s often too embarrassed to show his work to anyone.
  • His father’s name and Color Code, Lilac, are based on the beta version of Vincent.
• Every poem he writes is about a person. Many of his poems are about those he pines after. Very rarely, they are about himself.
• Values like HEART rely on the user's EMPATHY and CHARISMA stats for reading and influencing emotions respectively. Vincent's CHARISMA (and COURAGE, to an extent) is too low for him to manipulate others with his Value, though his high EMPATHY allows for strong emotional understanding, even at long distances.

• Remarkably, Vincent's pain tolerance is very high. It’s not unusual to find cuts and bruises underneath his clothing. Why, then, he reacts so intensely to the possibility of injury is unknown.
• Mystery and crime drama are guilty pleasures of his, though he is often more invested in the individual psyches of the people involved rather than any riddles or puzzles.

• Romantic feelings, according to Vincent, are the most difficult to interpret with his Value, as they are a complex combination of different emotions that vary depending on the person. When asked how romance feels to him, Vincent's only answer is one word - painful.
• Eavesdropping and, to an extent, stalking, seems to be a serious problem for Vincent. Other people will complain about him observing people from a distance rather than interacting with them directly.
