The Trance Specter. Catertonic are one of the few Specters to mimic human language. However, paradoxically, they are just as capable of great wisdom as they are of profound nonsense. Once bonded, they will constantly mutter to their user, their hypnotic words drifting through the air like smoke.

Overview
A sensitive, smooth entertainer with a 'cool' attitude. He is often the 'victim' of his coworker Heidi’s stunts, and his performance stumbles usually place him as the target of ridicule rather than the wielder of it. As a result, he has long resigned to adding in little mistakes to his routines.
All for some laughter and pity.

Trivia
- During his wandering, if Claude sees people playing a game, he may join in. He doesn’t have any reservations about interrupting people if it’s for the sake of his own curiosity and potential participation.
- He is notably talented at chess and checkers, beating coworker Heidi Costello every time. He isn't very good at games where rules are made up on the fly - Heidi's expertise.
- On his breaks, Claude always does the same thing first - go to the break room mirror to fix his hair. He specifically goes out of his way to use the break room mirror, as there is always a chance that his boss, Mimi Ōshiro, will use any other mirror to travel from place to place.
- Heidi has noted that Claude particularly dislikes getting dirty, describing him like a delicate prince who is sensitive to even the teensiest messes! :o)
- When Claude is hungry, he will often grab food belonging to nearby stands. It is unclear if this is allowed, as Heidi is only shown eating food complementary to her performances.
- This has resulted in several cases of food poisoning, as he likes to try nearly any food that interests him.
- He particularly likes the muffins, cookies, and juice.
- Nothing really makes him laugh, but he does so anyway, to appear more welcoming and harmless. The way he laughs in public appears to be a learned skill, as if he is unable to laugh genuinely in front of others.
- Any time he comes across a child who seems lonely or lost, he'll comfort them by holding their hand and guiding them to a more populated area. He has repeatedly gotten in trouble by encouraging these children to leave the park if they are feeling unhappy - an action that is antithetical to his inviting mascot role.
- Rain is Claude's main woe. Whenever it rains, it seems to follow him wherever he goes. More often than not, Claude will slip on random puddles more than the guests - something he adds to his act as it garners an easy laugh. However, he is rarely more soaked at the end of the day than Heidi, who enjoys jumping into puddles voluntarily.
- When the park closes due to particularly bad weather, he likes to sit inside and relax while observing the storm from a safe location.
- He has rescued stray animals from the rain, particularly cats. He notes that he had one growing up, as well as a pet rabbit.
- Amusement parks, prior to his hiring, were a novelty to Claude, who had not been to one prior to working at Mimiland. Heidi notes that he has still yet to ride many of the attractions - something she was eager to do right off the bat.
- Before he had ultimately decided on his current name, he had considered the name 'Cody'. However, when Heidi enthusiastically commented that his name would rhyme (sort of) with hers, he decided against it.
- 'Claude' had been suggested by Heidi due to how pretty and prince-ly it sounded.
- 'Breaking character' being against the rules was a policy specifically added because of Claude. Fortunately, he has avoided severe punishment several times due to Heidi vouching for him.
- When he first started the job, he had a habit of telling kids that fairy tales and Mimiland stories were not real, reacting with confusion when the kids would cry and the adults would reprimand him.
- 'Sleeping on the job' was also forbidden due to Claude.
- In his break room locker are a change of clothes, an umbrella, some skin and hair care items, and a journal, which cannot be opened without a key.
- The 'gentle charm' he holds, as described by swooning visitors, has subjected him to flirting. However, those interactions usually don't go anywhere, as he seems unable to understand what they want from him besides simple entertainment.
- When told by a visitor how 'handsome' he is, he simply smiles and says thank you.
- He has apparently been heard to swear out of stress. The only person who seems privy to such moments is Heidi, who learns all her swear words from him.
- Out of all the attractions in the park, the ferris wheel is Claude’s favorite. When asked why, he explains that the sight above is much nicer than the one below.
- Nearly every time he has ridden the ferris wheel, it has malfunctioned and left him stuck at the top. He has never been particularly bothered by this - in fact, it seems to add to the experience for him.
- Little is known about where Claude, as well as Heidi, go after the park is closed. There is no information available about where they live, what their true names are, or about their lives prior to their current job.
- Entering the park, according to Mimiland commercials, is much easier than leaving. Claude and Heidi seem to agree, though the former with less enthusiasm.
