Overview
A talkative cyborg who, after getting into a horrific accident, had his body reconstructed with top-of-the-line machinery. But he isn’t the brightest - a lot of his rambling can be chalked up to nonsense, even though he backs it up with unfounded confidence.
He does seem interested in technology, at least…

Trivia
- The accident happened on a Tran family road trip. Their car collided with a semi-truck, killing his parents instantly and badly injuring the passengers in the back. Though Clark would survive through intensive care, his twin brother, Axel, died in the hospital.
- It is rumored that the collision was a set-up by a rival company or conspirator, as the Trans had experienced assasination attempts in the past.
- Reading comics is one of Clark’s favorite pastimes. He is a huge fan of the superhero genre, and he enjoys making trips to Sepia City for conventions and to collect merchandise.
- He appears to follow the super-society in the city very closely, as he boasts an intimate knowledge of both heroic feats and crimes that occur there on a daily basis.
- In case of danger, his body is built to be waterproof, rustproof, and nigh-indestructible. This was only possible due to the Tran company’s own resources and connections, which allowed those who worked on him access to mechanical designs too advanced for the public.
- The electricity that courses through him is connected to his Chroma, which is the only way he can maneuver his Chroma through non-natural parts. This also results in reactions to certain biological activity; for example, the faster his heartbeat, the stronger and brighter he glows.
- As the heir to a massive, international tech company, Clark’s only permitted access to the outside world is with at least one armed bodyguard. However, due to his Value, he can easily travel great distances without being hindered by physical space.
- He frequently goes under the radar, though it is unknown what he does when he isn’t monitored.
- Largely due to his background (and partly due to his passion for playing with expensive things), Clark has trouble being separated from electronics altogether. He’s not /dependant/ on them, per se... its just that they keep me busy… and i need them
- ACUMEN is attributed to CUWAL; thus, those with CUWAL as their patron deity often have high ACUMEN in correlation - such as Program peers Adam Akil and Tian Zhou. However, though Clark’s Color Code is Cyan exactly, his ACUMEN is one of the lowest of the cast. Even basic logic problems and puzzle-solving appear to be a challenge for him.
- Certain attempts at understanding even result in him ‘short-circuiting’, as if the mechanisms of his body aren’t properly built to handle it.
- Nervous rambling is a bad habit of Clark’s. The more he goes on, the more unsettled he is.
- During his teenage years, he attended an elite private school alongside his brother, as well as some fellow competitors. This would be the last time he was allowed to freely interact with his peers, as the accident would prompt his swift ejection and further public isolation.
- Matt notes that, of the two brothers, Axel was incredibly popular and personable, while Clark came off as significantly less impressive.
- Fittingly, Clark has a big interest in the technological and futuristic. He eagerly looks forward to a world populated with robots, where the sky is the limit when it comes to human innovation.
- Some of his own parts were designed by himself after the initial surgery.
- Although Clark is an incredibly cowardly person, the exception to this appears to be insects and bugs as a whole. His lack of intelligence also makes an exception here, as he boasts an impressive knowledge of entomology.
- In the Mass Manipulation family, JAUNT is not only rare but also highly coveted, as those with the Value can make a hefty sum in the travel industry. Clark surmises that he was able to develop his because of how often his family went on vacations, associating travel with happy memories.
- Limbs and other extremities can be severed completely if JAUNT is performed on the self incorrectly. While Clark’s Value was able to reach maturation, he still struggles with the pitfalls of teleporting the self. He notes that he was constructed with purposefully detachable parts as a way to work around his usual error-prone performance.
- He has completely lost track of limbs multiple times, to the ire of his company.
- Unfortunately, though his cyborg body is waterproof, Clark himself isn’t a great swimmer. As a result, he avoids even the shallowest pools, claiming that he doesn’t want to risk it.
- Robotics wasn’t particularly interesting to him when he was younger. Rather than engaging with the family business, Clark preferred doing small ‘experiments’ that tackled whatever curiosity he had at the moment. Axel was the one who encouraged him to channel this curiosity into mechanics.
- Even though the Tran tech company has a high net worth, they have slowly been building debt due to how expensive it is to maintain Clark’s robotic body. This is partly the reason for his participation in the Program.
