The Scavenger Specter. Usually found in warm and temperate climates, Carriador are sure to be found wherever there is death and decay. Without a corporeal form, however, they seem perfectly content to simply watch as time and nature erodes the once-living. Once bonded, they are very efficient at cleaning up.

Overview
An upbeat lover of all things macabre, Caroline is a funerary director who makes sure that those who have passed, as well as those who feel loss, are comforted by death instead. Though she comes off as callous, she does respect the dead.
She’s just a little obsessed, particularly with blood and cadavers.

Trivia
- Obsessed with all things horror, Caroline has an extensive collection of disturbing, gory, and sometimes erotic movies and video games. Conventional media tends to bore her, and she enjoys seeing out the extreme - partly for her own thrills and partly out of fascination for the artist and its intended audience.
- Her school years were filled with torment, as Caroline was the frequent target of bullies. When her older brother, Castiel, advised complete conformity, she tried as much - to little success. Desperate, she then magnified her strange interests in an attempt to empower herself and scare her dissenters away. This led to mixed results, but, more importantly, it has led to the intense personality Caroline has today.
- The bullying persisted until her final semester senior year, when everything would culminate in ‘the incident’. She elects not to divulge what happened then, only noting that she’s happy to have finally graduated at all XD
- Mortuary services were, initially, merely a way to make ends meet. Ever since she was young, Caroline dreamed of becoming an actress or model.
- She visits Goldopolis quite frequently; not only to visit her older brother but also to peruse the film studios there. She hopes to make the right connection someday.
- Occasionally, she accompanies close friend Amir Chakrabarti on his archaeological expeditions. They both share a passion for rituals and relics surrounding the dead, but she particularly enjoys studying the bodies themselves. He visits often and brings back mementos - stray bones, a replica skull, etcetera.
- She falls very hard whenever she develops a crush. Her idealized desire for romance can even eclipse her typical macabre interests. However, she falls harder when they fail, as they have many times.
- The bone accessories she wears are, to her profound disappointment, not made of real bone.
- Her religious doctrine is a mixture of Mexican folk Catholicism and Neopaganism. It centers Santa Barbara, a folk saint associated with blood and the passage to the afterlife. Caroline claims that Barbara visits her and grants blessing to all the spirits that pass through her mortuary.
- Saint Barbara is a woman who could purportedly heal the dying and speak with the dead. She was a benevolent figure but due to her activity and worship of Aztec gods, she was tried and persecuted for ‘witchcraft’ and ‘communing with the devil’. She was tortured until all that was left was her skeleton. Outside of folklore, Saint Barbara is regarded as an apocryphal figure.
- Obituaries are an intimate art form to Caroline, who approaches them similar to how one would write a personal essay or poem. She offers to write them for the families of the deceased, working closely with them to create a heartfelt departure for the person who passed.
- Lurking around her mortuary one day was a stray Carriador, seemingly separated from its group and natural environment. She believes she was fated to bond with it, as it’s the kind of Specter that Carrie adores X)
- Years of being surrounded by death - even before her profession - has dulled Caroline’s nerves about such matters. Her greatest wish is to live as long as she can, witnessing the beginnings and ends of as many things as possible. Even if the world were to be destroyed, it would be a joy to witness its death.
- Dying her hair is a very tedious process, as Caroline prefers to separate colors into specific areas. She used to dye her hair entirely, but as her natural color grew out, she became attached to the gradient it created. Now, she specifically dyes only the bottom part.
- Ever since she was young, she’s looked up to her brother as her primary role model. She even chooses her Color Codes based off of his.
- As one who emphatically puts the fun in funerals, Caroline does her best to zhuzh up an otherwise depressing event. She treats it as a celebration of life and death, akin to a ritualistic party. She also offers deals and coupons for future business, though she has been scolded for being callous.
- The Synesthetic Program is Caroline’s favorite show. When Castiel was selected to be a part of The Program’s staff a few years ago, she was overjoyed. She constantly probes him about what he sees… unfortunately for her, Castiel follows confidentiality protocol and lets little slip.
- The participation of Amir’s sister, Yuna Chakabarti, in the upcoming 200th season has especially piqued her interest. She has promised Amir that she’ll be rooting alongside him for Yuna, though she’s also a big fan of competitors Maura Hunter and Corona Karasu.
- She hopes to get accepted for a future season when she enters the eligible age bracket. She’s closely followed the rumors of The Program intensifying in brutality, and there’s nothing more exciting for her than to be a part of it.
- Her mood tends to swing wildly, ranging from manic hysterics to gloom so low that she’ll completely isolate herself. She claims that being around the dead helps her more intrusive thoughts. In her worst, most unstable state, she does not trust herself around the living.
